Kazum’s Biography
October 24th, 2005

Name: Kazum Sharpaxe
Race: Orc
Age: Kazum appears to be nearing middle age for an orc.
Physical Description: Average. Nearly everything about Kazum’s appeareance is unremarkable. He’s of average height and weight for an orc (although he does tend to slouch which makes him seem a little short), his skin is a murky green, hair brown, rarely brushed, and pulled back into a rough high ponytail. His beard is mostly left to it’s own devices save for the occasional haphazard trim. Kazum wears no jewellery and makes only a passing attempt at ensuring his armor matches. An inspection of his weapons however, would reveal a level of care that doesn’t seem possible in somebody who rarely even brushes his hair.
One of the few things that makes Kazum stand out from other orc hunters is his slight limp. He tends to walk as much as possible unless hunting (when he doesn’t notice the pain so much) or when he’s in a hurry (provided he has enough pain-relieving salve).
Hobbies: Hunting and skinning since he doesn’t like to waste his kills. Kazum tried leatherworking but kept stabbing himself with the needles and losing his coarse thread. His big hands have no problems with a bow and arrow but just can’t handle needle and thread. He has no interest in cooking but his pet eats the raw meat when they go hunting. Kazum’s recently taken up fishing since it’s a good way to be useful on the days when his knee is acting up.
Of late, he’s also begun spending time in the University of Kalimdor’s library, trying to find more information about the sickly gazelles he’s seen in The Barrens. He’s also hoping to find a cure for his ailing raptor, Shimmer, who disappeared for a few minutes in The Apothecarium and has been ill ever since.
Personality: Kazum is nearly always polite and willing to help people. Thanks to his years as a guard, he finds it difficult to say no to requests although he is learning. He does have a tendency to seem depressed and will rarely jump around and dance. He’s not as young as he used to be after all, and he’s having to overcome many years of disappointment and bitterness. For the most part any depression is simply habit but every so often the pain in his knee will make him unhappy.
Companions: Kazum’s current companion is a young worg he found in Silverpine Forest. He’s succeeded in taming him but Brushtail is proving impossible to train, preferring to attack nearly everything except the correct target, and trailing behind until finding a good spot to hide.
Kazum really misses his first pet, Shimmer; a pale-coloured raptor with silvery stripes on his back. Shimmer was dignified, well-trained and never hid on Kazum. Unfortunately, he’s ill and is currently resting in The Crossroads stable. Kazum is considering taking advise in seeking out a druid or a shaman for help. He’s not sure that the priest who initially examined Shimmer was all that knowledgable about raptors.
