Any of ye who knows me might have been lookin’ at those photos of me house an’ be wondering where me cat, Snowpaws is and also about that big wolf that’s guarding me house fer me. Well, not to worry, Snowpaws hasn’t run away or anythin’ like that. She’s just taking a little break from all the huntin’ we’ve been doing and resting her hurt paw. See, we’ve been spendin’ a lot of time in and around Darkshire lately and if ye’ve been to Darkshire ye’d know it’s a pretty scary place! All those ghosts an’ ghouls, an’ skeletons an’ what-not. Poor Snowpaws has had enough of it! She’s really a big scaredy-cat ye see, and the final straw came when we’d just killed one of those icky ghouls and she accidentally stepped on a tooth from the thing. Poor thing! She hurt her paw pretty bad but we had a priest look at it an’ he reckons she’ll be right as rain soon. O’course she needs to rest an’ won’t be able to go out huntin’ with me fer awhile but that suits her just fine. She just hates Duskwood!
So anyway, I had to get another pet to help with all the jobs I still had in Darkshire so I was thinkin’ about one of those big black wolves ye see in the area but then I saw this big, glowy white wolf. I just had to try an’ tame him as I was certain he’d look really great next to me. An’ I was right!

Isn’t he just the prettiest wolf ye ever seen? I called him Ghost on account of me finding him in Darkshire an’ how he’s a little glowy. He’s a little more serious than Snowpaws but I expect he’ll loosen up once we get to know each other better. Oh, an’ aren’t me Scarlet Begonias nice? They’re not just pretty - the herbalist told me they’d help stop me from catching radiation poisoning an’ getting wrinkles. Amazing what ye can do with herbs these days!
Anyway, poor scaredy-cat Snowpaws is cowering, I mean resting, in the stables in Darkshire while me and Ghost finish off me jobs in the area. I visit her everyday and bring her snacks. It think she likes being a lady of leisure!
Here’s a photo an admirer took of me and Snowpaws when we were first settin’ out as adventurers:
