While I was workin’ in Southshore, I got to talking to a human by the name of Bartolo Ginsetti. Now, the lad’s a little full o’ himself but he didn’t lie when he claimed to make the finest cloaks in Hillsbrad. Actually, he said “the world’ but I think he meant Hillsbrad; looking at his outfit, I could tell he didn’t get out much! Browsing through his patterns, I noticed one that really took me fancy: a Yeti Fur Cloak. It took a fair amount o’ grovellin’ an’ a great deal o’ pleadin’ but I finally talked ol’ Bartolo into making me one of these soft yet sturdy cloaks. The catch was that I’d have to find him the materials fer this cloak meself including the Yeti Fur. An’ that leads me to the making of this Guide.

The first thing ye have to do is find yer Yetis. This isn’t as easy as it sounds since all I could get from the locals was a vague pointing towards the hills and a lot of runnin’ away. So I set off to hunt me some Yetis, headin’ in a sort o’ hillish direction. As it turns out, Yetis are far more elusive than ye’d think considerin’ the size of the buggers.

Along the way I asked the locals fer directions….

…consulted maps…

…was forced to replenish supplies…

…an’ followed me intuition.

After spendin’ a day tracking these elusive creatures, I finally spotted one.

Now, once ye’ve find yer Yetis ye have to kill them as I don’t think anyone’s yet to discover the means fer shearing Yetis (an’ I don’t think they’d take too kindly to that either!). How ye go about killin’ yer Yeti is up to ye. Personally, I prefer to shoot them:

O’ course hittin’ them repeatedly with somethin’ sharp like an axe works just as well.

Once yer Yeti has finally kicked the bucket, we get down to the looting and skinning.

Apart from loose change, every so often ye’ll find a Yeti that has managed to stuff some piece o’ armor, jewellery or even weapons in his pockets. Give them a bit of a wipe over with some o’ that handy snow an’ they’re good to wear or sell in the Ironforge Auction House. I found some fabulous new pants in the pockets of a Yeti an’ they’re just great! It may be just me imagination but I swear I’m a little more agile now that I’m wearing them. Here’s a photo o’ me modelling them:

Right, so ye’ve looted yer Yeti an’ if ye were lucky there was already plenty o’ loose fur in it’s pockets to make ol’ Bartolo happy. Does it end there? Well no, there’s still somethin’ ye can get out of our friend, the Yeti.

Yeti’s are pretty big so ye can get some lovely medium an’ heavy leather out o’ them, depending on the age of yer Yeti. O’ course if ye don’t know how to skin then that step wasn’t much help to ye. Not to worry, I’m sure ye still got plenty o’ loose change and the like to make a nice, lil’ profit!
